Beginner/Intermediate Jewelry:
Through a series of directed projects, this class will cover all the basics of jewelry making: Sawing, filing, soldering, stone setting, finishing, polishing and various decorative techniques in metal.

Intermediate/Advanced Jewelry:
These classes will focus on more advanced metalsmithing techniques. While working on their own projects students will learn skills like Hollow forming, casting, cold connections, and more difficult stone settings.

Intro to Welding Blacksmithing and Metal Fabrication:
Classes to be scheduled
Instructor: Adam Clark
Location: 2121 Evans Avenue, San Francisco, CA
This class will be an overview of general shop metal fabrication. We will explore traditional blacksmithing, intro to MIG welding, as well as shop machining on the lathe and mill. We will also cover general shop practice and tool use and safety.
Tuition:
Metalsmithing Classes: $385. This includes all tools and materials except precious metal and stones. We do provide a large selection of silver and semi-precious stones at reasonable rates. (Deposit of $185).
Welding Class: $435. (Deposit of $200).

Note: The people who have taken classes know how fast these small classes fill up. Classes are limited to 9 to keep it an intimate and effective environment, and they fill up FAST! We are very flexible when it comes to payment and will set up a reasonable payment schedule if need be. The price of the class includes all tools and materials except precious metal and stones. Scintillant studios will also be offering weekend and week-long workshops throughout the year. Please contact us if you are interested in being added to our email list.
Work/ Study positions are available for people in need of financial assistance. You need to come a little early or stay late to help with studio maintenance (clean, cut solder, etc.) in exchange for reduced tuition. If you are interested, let us know.
We are always open to new students stopping by the studio to meet and see the space.
